Where the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is

The St. Regis sits on Motu Ome'e, a reef islet on the eastern side of the lagoon, and can only be reached by boat. From Bora Bora Airport, the resort's shared boat takes about 20 minutes. Marriott lists the fee at about XPF 17,000 per person round trip (roughly $160; its page gives two slightly different figures). A shuttle to the main island takes about 10 minutes. One run a day is free (not on Sundays or public holidays, reservation required), and extra trips cost XPF 3,600 per person round trip. That matters if you plan to eat in Vaitape or join tours on the main island.

St. Regis Bora Bora villas: which to book

All accommodations are villas. Overwater villas start at about 1,550 sq ft (144 m²), which makes them among the largest entry-level overwater rooms on the island. Marriott sells them in these tiers:

  • Overwater Superior Villa – the entry category.
  • Overwater Deluxe Island View and Overwater Deluxe Otemanu View.
  • Overwater Premier Otemanu View – the most-requested mountain outlook.
  • Beach Villas and Reefside Villas – on land, among gardens.
  • Royal Overwater Suite and The Royal Estate – the Royal Estate is a 13,000 sq ft, three-bedroom compound with its own beach.

Don't assume an overwater villa comes with a pool. Only a handful of the top Royal overwater villas have private pools, so if a plunge pool matters to you, confirm it in writing. For the classic postcard view, pay for an "Otemanu View" category. Lower tiers may face the reef or the gardens instead.

St. Regis Bora Bora restaurants, bars and spa

  • Lagoon Restaurant – French fine dining over the water, with glass floor panels and seafood-focused menus.
  • Bamboo – Pan-Asian.
  • Farniente – Italian.
  • Te Pahu – French Polynesian and the breakfast buffet. The Polynesian Night is on Wednesdays.
  • Aparima Bar – swim-up and casual dining between the main beach and main pool.
  • 727 Bar – cocktails and tapas before dinner. It faces Mount Otemanu and is the resort's sunset spot.

The St. Regis Spa sits on its own small island inside the resort and uses Sothys treatments. Marriott notes that spa bookings require a day pass. Next to it is the private lagoonarium, a protected saltwater sanctuary with pontoons and free snorkel gear. A 2025 review counted more than 120 fish species there, with biologist-led sessions on set days. Read our full Lagoon Restaurant review before you book a dinner.

St. Regis Bora Bora price and booking tips

Overwater villas start from about $4,000 a night (from €3,700, July 2026). That makes this the most expensive of Bora Bora's big-brand resorts at entry level. Butler service is part of the St. Regis style. Award nights can be booked with Marriott Bonvoy points, but rates are dynamic and climb steeply in high season (June–September). Budget separately for the airport boat, breakfast if your rate excludes it, and the 4-course menu at Lagoon Restaurant. Our Bora Bora honeymoon guide and trip cost calculator help you size the full bill.

Who the St. Regis Bora Bora suits

The St. Regis suits honeymooners and milestone trips where space and service matter most. Families can use the beach villas and the calm lagoonarium for first snorkels. Keep in mind that every outing to the main island is a boat ride.

More questions

Is the St. Regis Bora Bora worth it?

It suits couples who want very large villas, butler service and an on-site snorkeling lagoon without leaving the resort. If a private pool or a lower nightly rate matters more, compare the Four Seasons and Conrad plunge-pool categories.
