Conrad Bora Bora Nui: from Hilton to Conrad, and the 2026 renovation

If you are searching for "Hilton Bora Bora," this is the resort you mean. It opened as the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa and was rebranded Conrad Bora Bora Nui (still part of Hilton) in 2017 after a major refurbishment. A new renovation program started in February 2025. The resort stayed open for the early phases, then closed from 19 January 2026 for the heaviest work and reopened on 1 May 2026. Finishing touches were planned through June 2026. The overwater villa interiors have been refreshed, but the resort hasn't published a full list of changes. Check the current room photos before you book.

Conrad Bora Bora Nui villas: overwater, garden and hillside

The resort has 114 villas and suites on Motu To'opua, a hilly islet on the southwest side of the lagoon. Most of them are overwater, spread along three piers, and a share of the overwater villas have private plunge pools. On land you'll find garden (tropical) pool villas, beach pool villas and hillside "horizon" villas. The two Presidential Suites are two-story overwater villas with a butler, which is rare in French Polynesia.

Views: unlike the eastern motu resorts, most of the Conrad faces west, toward the open reef and the sunset, and away from Mount Otemanu. Book a west-facing overwater villa if you want sunsets from your deck. For the Otemanu panorama, walk up the hill on the east side of the motu near the spa, or book one of the garden pool villas at the foot of that hill.

Restaurants, Hina Spa and the kids' club

Dining has centered on these venues. Hours and concepts may have changed after the 2026 refurbishment, so check with the resort.

  • Iriatai – the signature French restaurant, also used for breakfast.
  • Tamure Beach Grill – casual beachfront lunch spot (it has run as a steakhouse in the evening).
  • Banyan – Chinese and seafood.
  • Upa Upa Lounge – sushi and cocktails over glass floor panels.
  • Tarava Pool Bar – swim-up bar at the two-tier infinity pool.

Hina Spa sits on the hilltop with views toward Otemanu. Sunset treatments are popular, and a 60-minute massage cost about $200 in 2024. Families can use the Tamariki Kids' Club, and babysitting is available. The resort also has a gym, tennis and kayaks. Our Bora Bora with kids page compares family-friendly resorts.

Conrad Bora Bora price, transfers and Hilton Honors

Overwater villas start from about $2,500 a night (July 2026), and the pool villas cost more. Award nights can be booked with Hilton Honors points. Point prices are dynamic and climb sharply in high season.

The resort's boat transfer from Bora Bora Airport takes about 20–25 minutes and costs XPF 18,000 per adult round trip (shared). Book it with the resort ahead of arrival. A shuttle boat runs to Vaitape on the main island. Daytime runs have been free with 24 hours' notice, and the evening run is charged. For arrival logistics, see Bora Bora airport transfers, and compare the alternatives on our Bora Bora resorts page.

Who Conrad Bora Bora Nui suits

The Conrad is a strong choice for couples who care more about sunsets than about Otemanu filling the window, and for Hilton Honors members who want to use points. Families get a kids' club and land-based pool villas away from open decks. Snorkelers can explore the lagoon from the overwater ladders. If a full-frontal Otemanu view from bed is the dream, the eastern motu resorts (Four Seasons, St. Regis, The Westin) are better placed.
