Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts villas and overwater bungalows

Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts has 108 rooms and villas on Motu Tevairoa, a coral islet on the west side of the lagoon. The resort was formerly called the Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. A renovation finished in 2020 refreshed the existing bungalows and added 28 new villas on stilts, and the resort now appears in the Relais & Châteaux collection.

The resort's own site lists eight categories, so it pays to read the names carefully before you book:

  • Garden Villa with Pool: the entry point for a private pool, set back from the water.
  • Beach Villa with Pool and the larger Royal Beach Villa with Pool: on the sand, good for travelers who want space and privacy over a deck above the lagoon.
  • Overwater Bungalow, Lagoon Overwater Bungalow and Otemanu Overwater Bungalow: the names tell you the view. If seeing Mount Otemanu from your deck is the point of the trip, book the Otemanu category rather than hoping for an upgrade.
  • Pool Overwater Villa and End of Pontoon Overwater Suite with Pool: overwater units with their own plunge pool, and the most private spots at the end of the walkways.

Families should note the occupancy limits. The resort lists its overwater bungalows for 2 adults plus 1 child under 13, while the Garden Villa with Pool takes 3 adults plus 1 child under 13.

Restaurants and bars at Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts

Because the resort is on a motu, you will eat most meals on site. There are three restaurants:

  • Otemanu Restaurant: breakfast buffet and dinner, set at the resort's highest point with views over the lagoon to Mount Otemanu.
  • Miki Miki: the casual lunch spot by the pool and beach, with dishes like poisson cru and pizza.
  • Poerava: the fine-dining restaurant. Book through the concierge desk, ideally on arrival, since seats are limited.

Drinks are served at the Uaina Bar and the Manuia Bar, and there is room service. If you want to compare a meal plan with paying à la carte, our guide to Bora Bora meal plans and all-inclusive packages explains how half-board usually works. For a night off the motu, Vaitape is about 15 minutes across the lagoon by boat.

Things to do at the resort

Non-motorized water toys are part of the stay: stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, outrigger canoes and snorkeling gear. On land there is a tennis court, ping pong, pétanque and an air-conditioned gym. The TĀVAI Spa is open daily from 9am to 7pm. Its menu includes Vichy-shower body scrubs and massages using monoï, the coconut oil scented with Tahitian gardenia.

The resort also runs sunset cruises on its own boat, the Okeanos Pearl, which you can book at the activities desk. For half-day lagoon trips with other operators, see the Lagoon Tour & Snorkel Safari. Remember that feeding sharks, rays or fish is illegal in French Polynesia, so choose a tour that watches the wildlife without feeding it.

Is Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts good value?

At from about $800 a night (October 2026), Le Bora Bora is one of the more affordable ways to stay on a motu with overwater bungalows and private-pool villas. The Four Seasons and Conrad start from about $2,500 a night for overwater rooms. The trade-off is fewer big-brand extras: there is no kids' club like the ones at the Four Seasons or Conrad, and the dining choice is smaller.

Budget for the boat transfer too. Motu resorts on Bora Bora usually charge for it, often about $100–300 per person return. For a full breakdown of what a stay costs, see Is Bora Bora expensive?, and compare bungalow types in our overwater bungalow guide.

More questions

Does Le Bora Bora by Pearl Resorts have overwater villas with private pools?

Yes. The Pool Overwater Villa and the End of Pontoon Overwater Suite with Pool both have their own pool. The standard, Lagoon and Otemanu overwater bungalows do not.

Which side of Bora Bora is Le Bora Bora on?

The west side. Motu Tevairoa sits in the western lagoon, facing the main island and Vaitape.
