Four Seasons Bora Bora overwater bungalows and villas

The resort has 108 overwater bungalow suites and seven beachfront villa estates on Motu Tehotu, a reef islet on the east side of the lagoon. Every overwater suite has a deck with a ladder straight into the water. The standard one-bedroom suites are about 100 square meters (1,080 sq ft). They are sold by view: beach, lagoon or mountain, plus a Premier Mountain-View tier.

If you want a private plunge pool, look for the "with Plunge Pool" categories. These come in lagoon, mountain and beach views, plus the larger One-Bedroom Otemanu suite (147 m²) and the two-bedroom Herenui and Poerava suites (207 m²). Plunge-pool suites are a minority of the overwater inventory: the resort counted 27 after its last big refresh, completed in 2020. The beachfront villa estates range from one to five bedrooms and come with gardens, outdoor living space and private pools. They are the obvious pick for families or two couples traveling together.

Best rooms for Mount Otemanu views and sunsets

Because the motu sits east of the main island, the mountain-view and Otemanu bungalows look west across the lagoon to the peak, and the evening light goes down behind it. Mountain views cost noticeably more than beach-view or lagoon-view suites, and they are the ones most guests ask for. If the budget allows only one splurge, many past guests say the Otemanu view is worth more than a slightly bigger room. Beach-view suites face back toward the resort's own sand and gardens and are the usual entry point.

Dining, spa and activities at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora

  • Arii Moana – waterside restaurant serving Mediterranean dishes, with wine and cocktails.
  • Vaimiti – overwater restaurant and bar serving Asian food and sunset cocktails.
  • Fare Hoa – open-air beach bar and grill on the lagoon (seafood, steak, rum).
  • Tere Nui – open-air breakfast restaurant facing Otemanu.
  • Oro'a – evening Polynesian dance and fire show with a set Tahitian menu.

In-bungalow dining is available around the clock. Te Mahana Spa has seven treatment rooms, including an overwater couples' suite with glass floor panels, plus a sauna, steam room and vitality pool. There is also an overwater yoga deck. At the Ruahatu Lagoon Sanctuary, resident marine biologists lead snorkels and coral-planting sessions. Kids aged 5–12 can join the Tamarii club. Guests have reported that non-motorized water sports (kayaks, paddleboards, outrigger canoes) are included, while jet skis, sunset cruises and lagoon tours cost extra. Four Seasons Bora Bora price and getting there

Overwater suites start from about $2,500 a night (July 2026). Plunge-pool and Otemanu categories cost well above that, and the villa estates more still. As of October 2026 the resort's own site lists offers such as an Advance Purchase rate (up to 25% off bed and breakfast), an "Inclusive Plunge Pool Escape" with daily breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an extended-stay deal that adds free nights and airport transportation. Compare these against the room-only rate before you book. Meals, transfers and taxes add up quickly here.

From Bora Bora Airport, the resort's yacht reaches the motu in about 15 minutes. The fee isn't published online, and one guest reported paying around $300 per person round trip in 2024, so ask when you book. A resort water taxi runs to Vaitape on the main island twice a day, Monday to Saturday (about 25 minutes). Flights from Tahiti take about 50 minutes; our airport transfer guide covers the arrival steps. Weighing it against the other top resorts? More questions

Is the Four Seasons Bora Bora good for families?

Yes. The Tamarii kids' club takes ages 5–12, and the beachfront villa estates give families private pools and garden space away from the overwater decks.
